Grounded Grub is a collaborative space that works to promote sustainable eating practices with environmental, socio-economic, and cultural considerations. We’re navigating this increasingly complex world along with you, and hope to both learn and teach the skills and techniques that will allow you to approach the world of food with flexibility, mindfulness, curiosity, and excitement. We are grateful for the privilege to think about these issues and we hope you’ll join us in working toward a more equitable and just food system.

Ben Ross

Ben has a passion for making and communicating. Though not formally trained in the culinary arts, he fills many of his days with experimenting in the kitchen and absorbing every drop of culinary information and culture that he can find. He has been involved in sustainable development projects from both Engineering and Architectural standpoints, and is constantly working to develop and broaden his understanding of sustainability in our increasingly complex world. He has a BS in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and is currently pursuing a Masters degree from Columbia University. You can usually find him cooking, working on his knives, watching cooking videos, or exercising. He firmly believes in the idea of “teaching a man to fish” when it comes to life skills, and hopes Grounded Grub can give viewers the tools to navigate sustainable eating in a dynamic and flexible way.

Hannah Fuller

Hannah Fuller is a strong believer in the power of people to change our industrial food system. She holds a dual BS from Cornell University in Plant Sciences and International Agriculture & Rural Development with a minor in Community Food Systems. After working in food system development and evaluation in upstate New York, India and Belize, she has returned to her home state of Oregon. There she is served as a Resource Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) AmeriCorps member in the Columbia River Gorge, working as a SNAP Educator, on gardening projects and increasing the equity in a rural food systems. She now works as the Communications Manager for the national Farmers Market Coalition. She is nowhere near a perfect consumer in our food system, but she does love to idealize trying her best.

Collaboration is who we are.

Our contributors are essential to making Grounded Grub strong and multifaceted.
